The spherical head lifting anchor (or called Dogbone in different area) is cast into concrete for lifting and transporting precast concrete elements. It is hot forged from 20Mn2 steel. The former head provides spherical seating that the Lifting Eye engages, while a disc-shaped foot is embedded in the concrete. Due to its being a forged part, this anchor product does not depend on welds or thread engagement to develop its safe working load. Forging provides maximum safety with its advantageous material structure and ensure that it can pass the tensile test with a safety factor of more than 3 times before it can be used in the production of precast concrete.
Lifting head anchors are designed and manufactured in accordance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and VDI/BV-BS 6205. The lifting head anchors meet the requirements for safe lifting and handling of concrete elements.
